What is it?
Pressure independent balancing valve maintains the set flow rate despite fluctuating system pressure.

A unique, field adjustable, cartridge allows you to select the exact flows required for your application. Includes a precision machined ball type shutoff valve, and an integrated PT port built into the space saving "T" handle. There is also an optional port provided for a readout valve for flow verification.

The valve is designed for automatic flow limiting style balancing of both HVAC cooling and heating circuits; the valve is not for use in potable water systems.

Low Flow Wye Strainer
The companion WYE Strainer is designed to catch particulate that can settle in the coil and affect the heat transfer efficiency.

Low Flow Circuit Sentry Features:
• Pressure independent - Flow is not affected by changes in the system pressure
• Adjustable flows between 0.25 GPM - 3.8 GPM
• Flow accuracy of +/- 5% of flow setting
• Small and compact for tight spaces
• Integrated P/T port with space saving

Low Flow Wye Strainer.
Designed to catch particulate that can settle in the coil and affect the heat transfer efficiency. Features:
• Drain valve with hose fitting for easy cleaning
• Union-ended tail pieces for quick installation
• Removable Stainless Steel mesh strainer for easy cleaning or replacement
• Bypass Option for 3-way control valves

How does it work?
The field adjustable automatic flow rate cartridge maintains the flow rate in the controlled circuit.
The optimum flow rate is maintained at the preset flow rate despite fluctuating pressure conditions from as little as 2 PSI to as much as 60 PSI of differential pressure. Flow is adjusted by sliding the orifice plate to the desired flow rate and tightening the plate in place.
As the pressure increases in the system, the cartridge orifice cylinder compensates for changes in system pressure to maintain the preset flow rate.
In a properly designed system the valve automatically ensures system balance, regardless of changing pressure conditions normally associated with variable speed pumping.
